The Test Updates

Another spin Test is coming up and a mouthwatering Test is coming when India and West Indies take to the pitch in Kolkata tomorrow and The Cover Drive will preview the Test.

Kolkata is the haven of spin and slow scoring and this is what both teams have to face after India prevailed in their spin and patience test. But none of the sides have made 300 in the previous Test and India only made one 300+ score in their last 11 innings.

West Indies had chances come and go in the previous Test when they have been in a comfortable position in their turn to set a target but collapsed to 180.

India are the comfortable of both sides and look to gain and carry on the momentum from the First Test but West Indies couldn't land the last punch when they left their heads off-field in their previous Innings. India have to be cautious and can't be complacent against some strong Windies spin attack with Devendra Bishoo beginning to get the hang of pitches in the sub-continent. We might see the comeback and a close one by West Indies in what is still and growing side...

Watch for... the turnout in Eden Gardens. It is reported so far that 400 tickets were sold out of 66,000 that were available. With tickets getting as cheap as 50 rupees (£0.65 GBP), the BCCI are getting desperate to attract crowds...

India Squad (probable):  1 Virender Sehwag, 2 Gautam Gambhir, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Yuvraj Singh, 7 MS Dhoni (capt. & wk), 8 R Ashwin, 9 Ishant Sharma, 10 Pragyan Ojha, 11 Umesh Yadav

West Indies squad (probable): 1 Adrian Barath, 2 Kraigg Brathwaite, 3 Kirk Edwards, 4 Darren Bravo, 5 Shivnarine Chanderpaul, 6 Marlon Samuels, 7 Darren Sammy (capt.), 8 Carlton Baugh (wk), 9 Ravi Rampaul, 10 Fidel Edwards, 11 Devendra Bishoo
