“Testing Times” has started a campaign and e-petition to preserve and protect test cricket.
We wanted to show that we've done some proper research and that we're not just shouting at the wind!
We have a viable alternative schedule, as follows:

Notes about this schedule:
• The South Africa ODI series has been cut down to three matches and a fourth test match
has been added to the schedule at Edgbaston.
• The two ODI games that have been dropped are from the Rose Bowl but they will now host
a West Indies test match instead.
• The extra South Africa Test will be played at Edgbaston.
• The Scotland game has been moved to after the South Africa test series as playing an ODI in the middle of a test series is disrespectful to both Scotland & South Africa.

We do need a proper strategy for Test cricket. After all it is the pinnacle of the game pitting your wits against the world's best bowlers and batsmen. Wickets also need to be looked at as they are either too green or dead roads.
ReplyDeleteWell done to Cover Drive for supporting Testing Times
Test cricket is the true form of the game, the ultimate form of the game, the pillar around which the other forms swirl and eddy making a lot of noise but in the end the pillar remains and should be protected and cherish...
