India fulfil their revenge against England with a 5-0 whitewash

England were in a comfortable position to win the game when England lost 10 wickets for 47 runs in a humiliating end to the ODI series against India. Now the only pride they can salvage is from their only Twenty20 match which starts on this Saturday in Kolkata.
Ian Bell's wicket was one of the domino effects of the dramatic
collapse which end the series in humilation for England

India 271 for 8 (Dhoni 75*) beat England 176 (Jadeja 4-33, Kieswetter 63) by 95 runs

MS Dhoni took the sword to England with his unbeaten 75 off 69 balls to leave him with a tally of 212 runs without England dismissing him ever since the 4th ODI in the tour of England. But at the beginning of India's innings, Tim Bresnan (1-36 in 9 overs) and Steven Finn  (2-47 in 10 overs) took 3 wickets between them in their first counter attack when India went from 80-0 in 17 overs to 80-3 in 19 overs with Gambhir, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane dismissed. There were many 30-40 run odd partnerships which began with Manoj Tiwary and Suresh Raina tried to repair the damage the counter-attacking bowling England had done. When India were 206-6 with the repair operation going well thanks to Tiwary's 24 and Raina's 38, Dhoni was going into the attack with various shots. Dhoni had hit 3 fours and 4 sixes to get India into a fine position of 271-8. The India batting attack wasn't clean as 8 wickets were lost in their total of 271 with Samit Patel showing spin is working with his figures of 3-57 in 9 overs.

India with bowling department weren't looking good as Alistair Cook and Craig Kieswetter looked to take the game by force when England reached 100 runs in 16 overs. Varun Aaron, who was the hero of England's defeat in the 4th ODI, was the victim of a big strike for four by Kieswetter to get his half-century off 49 balls. But the domino effect came with the spin department of India when Jadeja and Aaron got the opening pair out and at 134-3, England's remaining batsmen were playing horrid shots including Ravi Bopara's dismissal playing a short ball spinner by Raina when he was trying to sweep the ball. The figures of Ravivchandran Ashwin of 3-28 in 9 overs and Ravindra Jadeja's 4-33 in 8 overs cleaned up England and their humiliating finish to the series being bowled out for 176 with Craig Kieswetter top scoring for 63.
