India have revenge served...

India have smashed England at home by 126 runs to receive some good feeling of revenge after a winless winter tour in England.
India have bag themselves a first win against England this year to claim and emphatic victory with a weakened side.

MS Dhoni was bludgeoning 87 off 70 balls gave England something to think as he significantly raised India's run rate to help them get to 300-7. But there was controversy even before the match as no coverage of the match can be seen for 15 minutes or 3 overs as TV rights weren't finalised with the government until the last minute. As a result, viewers from Neo Cricket in India from Sky Sports in Uk were affected immensely with only audio commentary given. It would've helped though as Jonathan Trott dropped an easy slip catch which was bowled by Steven Finn. Rahane was lucky with only 26,000 people in the ground seeing the drop in the first over. Steven Finn later found himself in a spot of bother with Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni hitting him off for boundaries. His figures of 1-67 in 9 overs would've battered him.

It wasn't just MS Dhoni but his fellow statesman, Raina hit 61 off 55 balls with plenty of full length balls being struck for sixes and fours. When the fifth wicket partner ship between Dhoni and Raina got out 72 balls, the crowd got going. The first 4 batsmen were slow getting off the start and were struggling with the swing being displayed. Gambhir played a steady innings of 32 from 33 balls and Kohli playing a very slow innings of 37 from 70 balls. When Raina went at 195-5 in the 39th over, that's when Dhoni got going with some shots from the trademark helicopter shots range. In the end, England conceded 105 runs in the last 11 overs proving the Jade Dernbach is beginning to be rusty at death overs.

Englnad got to the worst and slow possible start with Kieswetter going for 7 in the first 2 overs, falling to Praveen Kumar with his slow and tricky bowling. England began to repair the damage with Cook and Pietersen playing sensible cricket at the run rate of 4 an over. But the partnership broke out when Pietersen didn't get to his crease in time and as a result was run out to Ashwin. Things were looking good with Cook and Trott putting a 71 run partnership with Cook getting out to tricky Jadeja for 60. Trott (26), Bopara (8) and Bairstow (3) soon followed with the other batsmen falling who are lower down the batting order. Ashwin and Jadeja were both effective bowling together as they got 6 wickets between them and were the catalysts in that dramatic collapse in the middle of the innings.

India and England play in Delhi next at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Monday were India are looking to forward their momentum from this emphatic win.
