Stuart settles the Law on Ashraful

Stuart Law, Bangladesh coach, has laid down the policy of players performing at their best to keep playing for their country by dropping Mohammad Ashraful from the test series of West Indies which starts on Friday.
Law said that the Test side had been "underachieving as a unit" and says that it maybe "time for a change". He also says that players that have the potential can "to stick their hand up and stake a claim for a ten-year career."

Bangladesh lost to Zimbabwe in the test series recently and sacked Shakib al Hasan from his captaincy. The test side that was announced yesterday left out left arm spinner, Abdur Razzak and batsman Mohammad Ashraful. In the injuries department, Shafiul Islam and Mahmudullah weren't fit enough to be part of the Bangladesh Test squad.

Law said in Ashraful's defence though is; "He's a great guy to have around the dressing-room. His work ethic has been outstanding, whether it be gym sessions, training, batting, bowling or fielding, he is always there. You want to see him have success but unfortunately, other things have come in."

Bangladesh Test squad against West Indies:
Mushfiqur Rahim, Elias Sunny, Imrul Kayes, Naeem Islam, Nasir Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Shahadat Hussain, Shahriar Nafees, Shahkib al Hasan, Shuvagata Hom, Suhrawadi Shuvo and Tamim Iqbal.
