No play in Bristol in the West Country Derby

Our first match the Cover Drive was going to cover in the Friends Life Twenty20 this season has been cancelled due to bad weather. Gloucestershire and Somerset were due to play against each other at 17:30 BST in their first Twenty20 match of the season.

The umpires Nigel Crowley and Mark Benson had no choice but to call the game off 45 minutes later with the rain showing no signs of stopping.

Both sides are hoping to get their campaign properly off to a flying start when Gloucestershire play the Worcestershire Royals away while Someret play at home against the Steelback of Northants.
