Chandimal is fined for dissent while Hazeez is reprimanded

Both Dinesh Chandimal and Mohammad Hafeez have been sanctioned by the ICC for showing dissent at the umpire's decision on the only Twenty20 International between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi.
Sri Lankan batsman Dinesh Chandimal has been fined 10% of his match fee and Mohammad Hafeez has been officially reprimanded by the ICC after showing dissent at the umpire's decision at the one-off Twenty20 International on Friday.

Both showed their bats to the umpire after they were given lbw. Chandimal was given out by Aizaz Cheema for 56 while Hafeez was dismissed by Thisara Perera for just 13 (shown in image). Both players have been found guilty for breaching Level 1 offences as Pakistan won the match by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare.

"Accepting an umpire's decision is an essential feature of cricket and part of the game's unique spirit," said the ICC match referee Andy Pycroft. "These players' behaviour was not acceptable in any form of cricket and they must take responsibility for what they do."
