Leceistershire were optimistic of having the best start but the exact opposite happened when the top order collapsed to a point where the scores were 20-5. T&T with their leg spinner Samuel Badree didn't spin the ball at all and as a result, bowled straight using the slow pace of the wicket to pick up figures from the 4 overs of 2-7. Ravi Rampaul and Sunil Narine provided supporting attack picking up the wickets of Josh Cobb, Wayne White and Paul Nixon. James Taylor (57) got his fifty from 47 balls as a result of careful hitting, patience and knowing how the pitch was. His hits of 4 4s and 2 6s were clean but it was just too little too late as Ravi Rampaul was having his hat-trick ball after getting out Claude Henderson and Matthew Hoggard by bowling straight and clean bowling them. Ravi Rampaul didn't get the hat-trick he anticipated but had figures of 4-14 as the Foxes innings came to an end with the score of 117-9.

T&T finish off the Foxes to qualify
Trinidad & Tobago won their match against the Leceistershire Foxes by 51 runs to qualify comfortably into the group stages. For the Foxes, it will be a hill to climb. At the start, Lendl Simmons (67) and Adrian Barath (62) created a massive opening stand of 139 to strangle any threat from the Foxes very open bowling attack. 2 wickets further on the innings from Harry Gurney restricted a total of 168. This score was very challenging considering the tricky slow pitch both teams had to contend with, especially for the batting side.
