Gayle and Kohli power RCB to the final

Another high-scoring game didn't provide much drama in terms of who was going to win but still provided lots of sixes, especially from NSW's David Warner and RCB's Chris Gayle to give RCB the second successive 200 plus score win to seal their place in the final.

David Warner was carrying on his batting momentum with a superb 123 not out in 68 balls. But you can't write of Daniel Smith's partnership with Warner and Smith getting to 62 off 42 balls with a 146 run partnership between them. David Warner even hit one balls to dent a roof as well as Chris Gayle of the RCB doing likewise. Only in the 10th over of New South Wales's innings that David Warner got going with 11 sixes to his name. There were bowlers who got big economy rates and got slogged by the 2 batsmen including Dirk Nannes and Raju Bathkal as well as Sreenath Aravind who had been hit for 55 runs from 4 overs and is not having a good tournament as he conceded 60 odd runs in the South Australian Redbacks game.

Gayle once hit the lime light with a bludgeoning 92 from 41 balls with Virat Kohli's 84 from 49 balls provided Royal Challengers Bangalore's victory. Dilshan was out by a good ball bowled by Pat Cummins but this wasn't time time to celebrate the wicket as Gayle was hitting the ball cleanly to the stands and even Kohli got into the act as well as taking the place of Gayle with 11 sixes between the two. Kohli hit the winning runs to book Bangalore in a place to the final with a potential mouth-watering encounter with Somerset or Mumbai Indians.
